Consultation

One of my  areas of expertise and passion involves supporting teams and organizations in thoughtful and intentional implementation  of new initiatives, new programs, and best practices. Areas of focus include:

  • Trauma and Resilience Informed Care
  • Integrating awareness practices into our day-to-day work and personal lives
  • Building a culture that is grounded in self-awareness and compassion

Supportive Debriefs

The expectation that we can be immersed in suffering and loss daily and not be touched by it is as realistic as expecting to be able to walk through water and not get wet.

Rachel Remen M.D

Often, when we engage in service and in response to individual and collective trauma, we notice our own sense of exhaustion, numbness, a feeling that we can’t do enough, a lack of sleep… and we often keep going, ignoring the needs of our bodies and hearts.

Supportive debriefs allow us to attend to ourselves, experience embodied awareness, and take notice of our underlying sensations and beliefs. Together we engage in compassionate practices that stabilize our individual and collective nervous systems and recharge our wellbeing.

Sessions are available for both individuals and teams.

Clinical Supervision

For over 20 years, I have provided clinical supervision and consultation to trainees and associates at all stages of professional development. In my role as Clinical Director of Encompass Community Services, I oversaw the agency’s internship program, coordinating a team of clinical supervisors and offering leadership such as consultation on legal, ethical, and clinical issues to all clinical staff. Currently, I offer individual and group clinical supervision through Santa Cruz Therapy Collective, a group practice that offers psychotherapy to adults and families as well as a supportive training environment for pre-licensed ASW and MFT associates.
